Marceline May Abney Furnish was born December 23, 1927 She died on October 8, 2009 at the Batavia Nursing Home in Batavia, OH at the age of 81. Her parents, Virden Reese Abney and Margaret Breese Abney, preceded her in death. Two brothers also preceded her in death, Audra Reese Abney and Farrell B. Abney. She is survived by nephews John Abney and Scott Abney of Cincinnati; Thomas Abney of Dayton, OH; Paul Abney of Erlanger, KY; David Abney of Alexandria, KY; Mark Abney of Trenton, OH and Aaron Abney of Louisville, KY.

| Services for Marceline May Abney will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 830 York Street, Newport, KY on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Tod Eltzroth presiding.
